Covid-19: Security and Business Continuity at CA Consumer Finance

Echoing government directives, the measures taken by CA Consumer Finance to fight the spread of Covid-19 give priority to the health of employees while ensuring continuity of service to our customers and partners. The generalization of teleworking, reinforced security on sites and support for our teams make it possible to reconcile these two imperatives.

95% of our employees work remotely

Since the beginning of the health crisis, CA Consumer Finance has widely deployed teleworking in all its subsidiaries to meet the containment measures enacted in their respective countries. In China, at GAC-Sofinco in February, then in Italy, France, the rest of Europe, and most recently in Morocco. Today, 95% of our employees in Europe are teleworking, demonstrating that this practice is firmly rooted in the group's practices and the robustness of our IT infrastructures.

Enhanced security at our sites

Business continuity also depends on the commitment of the teams whose missions, which are essential to the smooth running of CA Consumer Finance, require a presence on the sites (call centres, financial functions, mail, IT operations, etc.). To ensure their safety, our teams in charge of real estate operations manage an intensified cleaning of occupied areas and the disinfection of washrooms, contact points and collaborative areas, which represents, depending on the site, between 8,000 and 12,000 m2 treated every day. Gel and gloves are made available to employees and, at certain sites, a free and secure catering service is provided.

Local support

To help our teams get through this unprecedented period, the Human Resources department is implementing local support measures: virtual coffee breaks and calls from employees by their HR development managers complement the social assistance, psychological counselling and medical teleconsultation services available by telephone. A dedicated e-mail address has also been provided to receive all questions relating to the measures in place to deal with the situation.
