Sofinco and La redoute, a news customer journey to attract mobile customers
Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance is supporting La Redoute, the leading French e-commerce retailer in fashion and home decor, in the rollout of its digitalisation. Following the revamp of the customer journey on its website, accessible via desktop and mobile, the company can now capture a completely new customer segment.
The challenge
La Redoute wanted to simplify access to credit on its website, in particular access to payment in three instalments via credit card (3XCC). With the sharp rise in mobile orders (30% at the start of 2017), it became essential to allow customers to sign up for different payment solutions, which was previously only possible via a desktop.
Our response
Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance supports La Redoute in adapting its overall digital customer journey for both desktop and mobile. 3XCC can be accessed in four simple steps: enter customer information, accept conditions, enter credit card details and finalise the order. The ergonomics of the site are designed specifically for mobile use, offering a fluid and secure customer experience. Now, accessing payment solutions is easy via smartphone as well as desktop, and this step is well-integrated into the ordering process.
The result: a boost in the transformation rate of sales on the website, and the capture of a new customer segment via mobile.
