Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance: François Edouard Drion appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Agos

François Edouard Drion will join Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance on 1 January 2022 as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Agos, the group's subsidiary in Italy. He succeeds Dominique Pasquier who has retired.

François Edouard Drion joined the Crédit Agricole Group in April 2008 as Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Serbia (formerly Meridian Bank). In December 2011, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Egypt.

In September 2017, he became Head of International Retail Banking, in the Crédit Agricole S.A. Group. In his role and as a director of Crédit Agricole Italia, he developed a sound knowledge of the Italian banking market.

 

Prior to joining the Crédit Agricole Group, François Edouard Drion spent fourteen years at BNP Paribas, notably as Head of Middle East Retail Banking, and as Managing Director of BNP Paribas in Algeria.

 

François Edouard Drion is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holds a postgraduate degree in Finance from Paris Dauphine University.

 

Agos is Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance's subsidiary in Italy, in which it holds a 61% stake, alongside Banco BPM, the third largest Italian bank. Its 1,950 employees serve 4.6 million customers through 220 branches and agencies throughout Italy, and over 20,000 affiliated dealers. With €13.8 billion in outstanding loans managed at 31 December 2020, Agos is a consumer credit leader in Italy.
